NC Programmer

We are seeking an NC Programmer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to support critical mission programs within the aerospace industry. This role will be the direct support to our machining team across the organization. Our mission is to effectively continue to support our critical mission programs within the aerospace industry by growing our project support teams throughout our organization.

• Programming with Mastercam and Cimatron Software.
• Organizes toolpaths and tooling into understandable formats for the machine operators.
• Creating clear and concise setup and tooling sheets for machine operators.
• Use CAD models and drawings to provide missing dimensions and determine suitable manufacturing methods.
• Provide guidance to machinists as required to ensure the quality of parts produced.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and errors as they arise.
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Program, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Specifying Technical Requirements to tell others about how parts, equipment, machined, or modified.
• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
• Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job
• Continuous schooling on Mastercam, Cimatron, and CATIA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong GD&T knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Mastercam and Cimatron software knowledge.
• Competent in CAD software.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong understanding of reading and understanding blueprints.
• Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analyzation software.
• Work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment.
• Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
• Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.
• Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
• Understands how to use the computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigate to websites, perform searches, and download files.
• Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).
• Provides excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Can handle frequent interruptions and can multi-task.
• Able to manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals.
• Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of machining and shop experience including set-up and programming.

• Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a ‘Secret’ security clearance.

• Environment Type:
  • Production and office environment. Temperature controlled, unless products and/or equipment is located outdoors.

• Travel Requirements:

• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
