Industrial Painter
We are seeking an individual experienced in industrial painting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products and parts are properly coated while using applicable skills and knowledge to produce quality and detail-oriented work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Surface preparation by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming parts and products to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
- Mix coatings to specific ratios and apply them using spray guns or other equipment.
- Operate and maintain paint booth, spray systems, and ventilation equipment.
- Check all coated parts and products for coverage, thickness, defects, and overall finish; make adjustments as needed.
- Read and follow color codes, drawings, and coating specifications.
- Move, stage, and organize parts and products before and after painting.
- Use proper PPE and follow chemical handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Maintain and keep documents, paint usage, batch numbers, and competed work.
- Collaborate with supervisors and technicians to prioritize work.
- Maintain safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school training.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, automotive or aerospace painting.
- Strong knowledge of coatings such as primers, enamels, epoxies, or powder coatings.
- Ability to read blueprints, and technical drawings, work orders and coating specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent and high-quality finishes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for operating spray equipment and maintaining tools.
- Physical capability for standing for long periods, lifting parts, and working in paint booth environment.
- Excellent safety awareness and familiarity with PPE, ventilation and chemical handling.
- Basic math skills for paint mixing ratios and measuring.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, squat, rotate trunk of body without limitations.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter.
- Ability to collaborate with fellow workers as a team as needed.
Pay Rate and Benefits:
- Pay Rate dependent on qualifications.
- Work schedule is Monday – Saturday (10 hours M-F, minimum 6 hours Saturday)
