From: Northrop Grumman Corporation
It is my pleasure to notify you that Futuramic Tool & Engineering has been selected as an Outstanding Supplier supporting Northrop Grumman’s OmegA launch system. The OmegA program team is working diligently to meet the U.S. Space Force’s mission assurance and schedule needs. Futuramic’s contribution in providing the machining and assembly of the CASTOR® 600 rocket aft skirt plays an important part in executing OmegA milestones on time.
The successful firing of the OmegA rocket’s first and second stages, in May 2019 and February 2020, respectively, demonstrates what Congress asked for in the National Defense Authorization Acts of FY 15, 16 and 17-a domestic solution to replace the capability of the RD-180 rocket engine. With the boost stage propulsion qualified, OmegA remains on track for its first flight in spring of 2021.
I would like to personally thank you for your role helping Northrop Grumman deliver the best rocket for national security missions. Supporting the warfighter is a top priority for Northrop Grumman, and we appreciate the dedication of like-minded suppliers such as Futuramic. Together we will ensure the new Space Force maintains assured access to space.
