Futuramic Tool and Engineering Co., was proud to highlight Michigan’s deep history and bright future in manufacturing while serving as a backdrop for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s speech on jobs and economic development.
Futuramic has been working in aerospace and aviation to assist NASA’s Space Launch System along with partners Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Orbital ATK, BAE Systems, Sierra Nevada, and Embraer, that will send humans deep into space. Employing nearly 300 people in support of NASA’s human spaceflight program, it is a testament to the company’s mission to foster manufacturing careers right here at home in Macomb County. After 48 years in the automotive industry, Futuramic began to expand and is now crafting components for companies like Boeing, and Lockheed Martin.
The full-service design and build firm is committed to the growth and development of it’s associates as well as the manufacturing community. Local and national officials have taken notice of a community apprenticeship program with Macomb Community College as well as international partnerships that make an impact in the aerospace and automotive industries. Previous visits from Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow have included discussions of innovation and advancement in manufacturing.
Futuramic was proud to host such a grand event at the Warren plant to demonstrate the importance of job creation and support of the manufacturing industry in Michigan. Thank you to all those involved for making the day a success and driving the industry forward.
